So my iPhone 4 that is like 18-20 months old has been amazing phone but today my volume button "-" is like stuck/broken. It is stuck and won't pop out. My phone doesn't have a warrantee any more past the 1 year mark right? There are company's online that say they will fix it for 60 bucks. I don't want to spend 60 bucks, anything I can do to fix it? I think it's kind of dumb that cell phone contracts are 2 years but apples warrantee is only 1 year

If you feel competent take it apart and replace/fix button? Not a lot that can be done there, I would say.

There is no way I would take it apart. I have a buddy that would do it. You have a link of the correct/direct replacement for that button? Or buttons. I should probably just replace both while I have it open

A quick google search of "iPhone 4 replacement volume button" should pull up something. Shouldn't cost you much. Depends on what exactly is messed up, though. It could be more than just the button.

Thanks man. I'll take it to a Apple store and see if they will diagnose the problem. Will a geek squad member from best buy be able to see what's wrong or will only the Apple guys know how to diagnose it?

Possibly. From what I can gather it's just a faulty button. I wouldn't be surprised if they fixed it at the apple store for free. Geek squad would probably charge. Not sure, though.

I've got a widget on my dashboard called iStat Pro. They make one for iOS devices as well.

basically % of chargers that stop working

mine have stopped because the end that connects to computer losses connection because the wires break inside the cord.

i think it happens because the cord is to light duty since people constantly pull on it to unplug charger from the computer. so eventually the wires break inside and no current can go to computer.

How old is your computer? I got mine in August of last year and I couldn't imagine that cord wearing out anytime soon.

Anyone know why this would happen? Only part of the picture will load. Firefox and Chrome aren't giving me problems. Also, Safari has been giving me problems loading Facebook and Ebay.

Sorry, don't use Safari - but the standard always applies. Clear cookies, cache, etc. Blast it all out. Not sure how that works in Safari, but I'm sure it's possible.
