Trying to sync a 4S with an Apple laptop on "Contacts". Sometimes the info. will transfer from the 4S to the laptop and sometimes it won't.

I always do it through iTunes and was thinking maybe the "Contacts" info only transfers when a major software update is uploaded runs through both.

Does anyone know of a better "Address Book" aka "Contacts" that will sync with both my 4S and laptop ??

Working with "Contacts" on my laptop has always been tricky for me ...

    Thanks ... :D

I have an iPhone4 that was working fine up until about a week ago. It simply wouldn't turn on.. and I couldn't even reset it with the home key and the power button... It died with about 60% charge or so... but even after plugging it into my wall charger and trying to reset it again it didn't want to turn on.

After trying this about 5-6 different times I did get it to restart and the apple symbol was up for about 12-15 minutes... Weird. Then instead of loading the home menu, the screen was covered by green and blue confetti. After maybe a half hour, it blacked out again. I could get it to repeat this several times, but finally accepted it was dead.

When the new iPhone5 comes out do you think they'll be able to pull my contacts and photos and stuff of my dead phone?? Or do I have a $200 paperweight?

    Thanks

I've bought a lot of stuff from them. They're honest. Shipping is always $5 in the US.

Yeah, does the same thing.. Eventually turns the Apple icon on the screen, but doesn't come up in iTunes or iPhoto like it would before..

Another way to fix a iPod/iPhone that won't turn on.

How to fix it by putting it into Recovery mode and restoring it. heres a video of how to put it into Recovery mode

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmpVBr3gl18&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Make sure you're iphone is off, now hold the home button and while holding the button plug in the usb cable to your computer. Then open itunes. Itunes will notice that you have plugging in your iPhone in Recovery mode and you will get a pop up stating that, just select okay and restore it. I put a link above that will help you.

    >This will delete everything from your idevice.

Thanks for the link, seems super easy, I hope it works! I'll try this out tomorrow or Fri. Bummer it deletes all info, but I back it up like once a month so I should be ok. . if its not a brick.

I'll let you know how it goes!
