I don't think there is any news that they've only sold half of what they expected. The news I've seen is they reduced their order for screens from other vendors by close to 50%.

Some are looking at that news and see it as a prediction of lower sales targets. While others say it may be because the manufacturing process has gotten better (fewer rejects). I've read some stories that the iPhone 5 screen was very difficult to make. So it's feasible that there has been an improvement in the process, requiring that Apple order fewer screens.

Why do so many Americans support and buy Iphones that are made by an American company that instead of keeping profit and jobs in their own country, they source much of their production (if not all) to sweatshop factories like FOXCONN located in countries like Taiwan?

I have a question? What's one thing PC users can do that Mac users can't?

Actually my life is based around products that are made in at the very least North America. Saying "everyone else does it" is the worst answer ever. Apple is greedy and selfish IMO and if you want to admit it or not, are on the decline seeing how their shares are down over 30% in the last few months. I hope they continue to fall too

 The point of any company is to make money. Apple is actually bringing their Mac production back to the US. What computer do you use that's made in the US?

You are so ignorant it's un-real.

As an Apple Employee, i can confidently say Apple is not greedy or selfish. Did you know Apple has donated over $50,000,000.00 to Product Red? And another $50 million to Stanford University hospitals. I usually have pretty thick skin when it comes to stuff like this, but man, i can't help myself when i see stupidity at its finest like i do here.

Maybe assembled in Canada, the computer parts all come from china, I'm pretty sure about that. Few things of quality are made in "north America" as u put it. How's ur Canadian tv brand doing? Or Canadian vehicle, or Canadian clothing?Etc etc. I bet u can't name 10 products out of the hundreds you use that are "made in n.a. " as u put it.

Weather you hate them or not, this isnt the thread for it. Apple has its place. If we all had the same shit, it would be pretty boring. Now....With that being said, lets keep your nati Apple comments out of this thread, and let the thread continue on its path. Mmm K?

Yeah I haven't checked this thread in awhile and was pretty shocked to see how ghey it got. Why can't people just use what they like and contribute instead of bashing some group for their personal choices that have absolutely no effect on them personally. I have an iPhone, Mac, and iPad. Technically I am supposed to be a fan boy and I am actually the farthest thing from it! All of my wife's machines are PC's because they have to be. Still too many compatibility issues which I still don't know which is worse...apple product running W7 and crashing or running a PC and it crashing! But the point is why do people feel the need to publicize their opinion instead of keeping their mouth shut and choosing as they wish. Reminds me of a joke I saw in another thread: thank god for Facebook. Otherwise I would have to call 269 people today to tell them I burned my toast!
