I really can't help a ton, as I don't have much experience in the apple dev world, but a quick google search turned up a tutorial on the newsstand kit. Here ya go: Apple Newsstand Kit.

I scrolled through there really quickly and saw some XML stuff, which i can help with if need be. Let me know if you get your situation figured out.

I use the same thing on my PC at home. I think it's called "Ad-Block Plus" and it's a firefox extension. Seems to work the best. Usually when you have to install some 3rd party software ad blocker...it's more trouble than it's worth. I say stick with ad-block. Looks like it's available for both PC and Mac firefox browsers.

Assuming you have a newer version of Safari, just click on "Safari Extensions" under the "Safari" menu, which takes you to Apple's "Safari Extensions Gallery." Adblock is the very first extension listed.

Sorry about that. You mentioned Adblock for your PC's Firefox, but I didn't realize you were using Firefox on the Mac as well. The version I linked to is strictly for Safari.

And, man, that's a slow internet connection. :D

i think your getting me mixed up with sauderman, he's the guy who originally asked about the ad block.

yeah, i'm at my grandparents house for 2 weeks so i have slow internet for a while, they just upgraded from dial-up 2 years ago and got a 750 kb/s peak DL speed.

Sorry once again. I'm distracted by testing, tweaking, and retesting a new (to me) web browser. It might be best for me to just shut up until I'm done.

We're moving next week (just bought a house) and will have a new ISP. We're hoping that one will be as good as the one I'm using now.

Another question, is there a way to have my texts read to me just by tapping the pause/skip button on my earbuds?
It'd be nice to have when I'm working, and can't text cause my hands are busy.

Assuming you're on your iPhone? Or iMessage on your Mac? On iPhone, hold the P/P button on your buds and tell Siri to "read So & So's last text" (assuming you've got a 4S or newer). If you're on your Mac, it can be read aloud, but you have to manually select the text and have it read which won't save you any time - unless someone texts you a novel or something.

    Yeah, I've got a 4s.
Well, that'll work if I know who's texting me.
    Thanks for the info.

Why are apple products so stuckup? Why do the already have the next 3 iphones already developed (by the talanted steve jobs) yet they keep releasing the lower level phones first?

You think Apple is the only company trying to make a profit and with multiple future versions of their products in active development? If so I got a bridge to sell ya.

It would be one thing if they were in active development not already developed..... Apple is way to greedy with their pathetic new versions that don't really offer much new. Shit they're worse than Toyota and these outdated Tacoma's.

Hoping someone can answer this for me...

If I were to leave the Bluetooth on my iPhone on all the time, will it have any affect on my battery life? :notsure:

Just wondering because my stereo in my truck has BT and I sometimes forget to turn the phone setting on for it to pair. It'd be much easier having it on all the time.
