I currently have an iPhone 4. I saw they also sell the direct connect for that. Going to give it a try.
I've got a 24inch flat screen in the truck. It does have a hdmi port.

I would just take it in and not mess with it...I replaced one a 3G but I would have rather paid someone to do it.

It's not that hard, I've done two now. I could do it in 30 minutes. Go to ifixit.com and read through the instructions to see if you're comfortable with the steps. I think you should be able to get the screen for less than that too. I think around $40 on eBay.

An iPad on the other hand is a whole other story... :frusty:

Have a small crack in the R-shift key on my keyboard. I have already emailed a site I found on the Google. Does anyone have another place they recommend?

I need some help from an apple nerd. I recently just bought the new iMac desktop and i keep getting this dang pop up called mackeeper that keeps shutting my safari down and going to this site when i click on some things. It's really annoying and coming from windows, i'm just learning this thing and don't know how to block this annoying site. I have my pop up blocker turned on under my safari security settings. I don't have any virus protector or anything on it at the time or anything. Really new to this Mac but so far i'm loving it.

I don't appear to be missing anything. I got the notification for the latest update but i have not done it yet because i need 2.5gb of free space to acess the download.

Everything seems to be in order. Nothing missing just moved some apps into a folder of shit i don't use reminders, compass, etc.

Mine was the same way about a couple of weeks ago, I had like 200 mb left of free space and then jumped to 2.3 gb. It's because my phone downloaded a new update and I never installed it so all that space was just being taken up by the update data.
Once it's installed it will delete the old data as the new update is already in place.

I read somewhere that if you update via computer is uses less space also.

I have experienced this. If I try to update on my device, it said it needs me to make room for 1.2GB (or so) of space to update. If I connect it to my Mac, it will run the 6-800MB update no problem.

    Oh, cool!

Another question...if i'm storing something in iCloud, is it stored on the phone and in iCloud or can iCloud act as another 5gb of free storage?

iCloud can act as another source of free storage, but at the same time it's more of a backup restore point. You can go to manage storage under iCloud and choose what you want backed up manually from your phone, people tend to not really understand "the cloud" but really it's more of a piece of mind incase any of your devices crashes and loses it's memory, which includes itouches iPhones and macs or anything that's using your iTunes account, then you can go to iCloud and restore whatever was backed in iCloud
Hope that made any bit of sense

Okay looks like its working. Thank you.

Next question: how do i get icloud to store my photos without streaming them to my other devices? I only want them to take up space on one device but be saved in the cloud too....is that possible?

Disable photostream in the icloud settings of your other devices.
