If I had tools and such I would, but I'm studying abroad and literally have no where to do it or anything. Guess I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and see what they say.

What are you wanting to know? I haven't used it personally, but I understand what it's function is.

Is there anything like "task manager" for MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010)??
It got really slow after upgrading to OS X Yosemite.

So I have a iPhone 5s and the latest iOS. For some reason my compass app doesn't work. It's like one of my sensors has gone crazy. When the compass calibrate screen pops up the little red ball just spins round and round even if the phone is on a table. What could cause this and is there an easy fix?

    easiest fix, warranty.

otherwise, not sure. I had a compass/photo position issue that the only solution was replacement.

My work recently issued me an iPhone 5S that has Airwatch MDM. My work contacts are stored on my Outlook account, which syncs to the iphone via Airwatch. The other day there were sync problems (airwatch server issues I guess) and I didnt have any of my contacts (or emails) on my phone for over two days. Is there any way that I can transfer my outlook contacts directly to the iphone's memory so I dont lose them when there are server problems or if I am in an area with no data signal? Thanks!

Looking for a cross platform news reader - I know I'm antique - that syncs between my Mac and my iPhone/iPad. Is Reeder 2 the only current option, or is there something else that syncs between OS X and iOS?

Having some issues with my Macbook pro.

    Specs, Mid 2012
    2.3 GHZ I7
    8 GB RAM
    Apple (500 GB) HDD
    running OS X Yosemite 10.10.4

several months ago I got an alert that one of my RAM sticks was not working properly, I restarted the machine and never got another notification so I assume everything is working fine (About this Mac still shows 2 4GB sticks).

Lately when I close the macbook (Automatically goes into sleep mode when the lid is closed) and then open it any amount of time later it doesn't want to wake up, the white light on the exterior of the macbook (On the side that faces the user, under the keyboard) will be solid and to get it to wake up I'll have to tap the power button and wait a few seconds for it to wake, or if it doesn't wake I have to do a hard shutdown.

It will start up like normal, and I have no other issues other than every once in a while the computer will randomly restart.

Does this sound like a hardware or software issue? It's had the problem through multiple OS X updates.

@95 taco, try these 2 things:

Reset PRAM- Power on computer, immediately hold command+option+P+R , you should hear it chime again when it resets.

Reset SMC- With computer off, and plugged into power, hold shift+control+option, while holding those press and release the power button. If computer is actually charging, you can confirm this worked if the charge status on the magsafe goes green and then back to orange.

Use the search feature, the little magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of your screen, and type "activity monitor" and hit return. Activity Monitor should pop up in it's own window.
