for the mesh for the 2012, is that a DIY assembly? or how do I go about inserting it. Awesome work, really like the look of these! I want to keep it as simple and cost effective as possible

Im kinda new here. Do you make any bent mesh grilles for 04's? The ghost raptor is a sick look and I was wondering if you service that.

I didn't see it on here but what do you suggest for filling in the semi-circles on the surround once you have cut off the interior mesh? I've seen bondo, plastic, fiberglass, etc. i'm right at that point in my grille build now.

When you build a thin lip for an 01-04, what method do you use to cut down the back of the inner shell edge that the mesh sits up against? I am considering buying your diy mesh kit and building one myself, but I am trying to think of a good way to cut down this "lip" that the mesh attaches to at an even depth all the way around. And, do you fill in the gaps with fiberglass/bondo before you cut it down or after? Thanks in advance, I know you're busy.

 

There is no "fill in" needed when doing a thin lip version on a 01-04.

I use a demmel multi-max to do most of my cutting.

 

Thanks for the quick reply. How deep do you cut the inside surround when doing a thin lip? As in, what is the measurement from the edge of the color matched (or chrome) part of the outer shell to the mesh once it is installed?

 

I go about 5/8" back. Just posted a pic of a damaged one in the other thread a few days ago.
