Asked for internet quotes and this is what I got...

I asked for quotes from 14 dealers in the Houston area through toyota.com. I got a personal video message from Shelby. (Sorry link is dead.) There is a dealer whose motto is "Price Sells Cars!". This looks more like "Cleavage Sells Trucks!". Would you give up JBL for the opportunity to buy from Shelby?



Everything in the area is either wrong color or no JBL. I explained what I wanted a quote on in the comments section. Of the 14 dealers, only one gave me an actual quote! (On a truck not even close for $500 under MSRP.) WTF?

 

I'd ask Shelby if I could have a "test drive"

Last time I went to my Honda dealer there was a lady selling snacks and drinks, boobage for weeks showing. And doing transactions on a computer lower than her seat

 

I'm sure Shelby would be willing to handle your package. Anything to make a sell

 

How do you know it's Shelby and not a Shelton?

 

Not sure how you submitted your inquires but I had much more luck last week in DFW. I directly emailed whoever was listed as internet sales manager in the staff section of each dealers website as opposed to submitting my inquiry through the website. Got back about 10 or so quotes with 8 of them MSRP, one at $800 under, and one at invoice.

 

Any time I ask for a specific quote in an email or on a website, I get "what are you looking for?"

I figured a request through toyota.com would go to internet sales, silly me. Some replies were from internet sales. Haven't followed up any yet. What dealer gave you invoice? I don't mind driving four hours to save $1500.

You straight boys need to calm down. You can get tits and ass anywhere, a well priced truck is hard to come by.

 

We've got 1 female salesperson. Looks like she fell down the ugly tree. But you'd be surprised how many cars/trucks that she sells to depraved old men who think they have a chance.

 

The dealership knows what its doing .. they will sell vehicles that way, especially in Houston where there is a bunch of rich idiots.

 

Take her down a VERY bumpy road. They might already make you go down a bumpy road to ensure they get the sale lol

This brings up a relevant point, re: the 8 quotes at MSRP - why should I buy from your dealership? Same price as everyone else. And no, I don't care about your silly little awards you got from Toyota.
