Assembled struts for my Base Tacoma

I have a 2006 Tacoma, standard cab, RWD, 2.7L engine. I want to replace the front struts,but I want complete assembled struts (with spring, mount, etc.). I have having difficulty finding such struts. Monroe, KYB make assembled struts for virtually every other type of Tacoma but not for the Base, RWD.

I have two questions: 1) Does anyone know where I might find the assembled replacement strut, or know if the strut from another model will work on my model?; 2) Why isn't the assembled strut offered for my model?

 

Are you looking to lift your truck at all?

 

No, I just want new struts. However, if I can use assembled struts designed for a different model, and it happens to lift the truck, that is fine with me.

 

Is it a 5lug?

 

I am a novice with Tacoma repairs, and I assume your question refers to the wheel lugs. Yes, the wheels have 5 lugs. I will have to do some research in order to understand the significance of the number of lugs. Weight of vehicle?

 

The suspensions are a little different. Hense the strut problem.
