@orezona If it were me, I'd probably create a new social media account and post pictures of the abuse on the company's social media, as well as local media outlets sites. Nothing like a bit of public shaming.

While I'll give folks the benefit of the doubt, I have zero tolerance for actual handicap spot abuse. We used those spots regularly for my wife's elderly parents in their last years of life. My wife blew out her ACL and we used those spots regularly while she was incapacitated.

IF we could figure out what the fuck they do in that building, I'd probably be all over that. Seriously, there's no marquee or sign or whatever.
I'm so sensative to asshole parking now because of this thread. Thanks you guys, my OCD needed something else to focus on... :D

You have the street address, yes?

I'd first start by googling that address and seeing what comes back.

My county publishes the new business license lists online going back seven years. If something like that isn't available, a phone call to the county business license office may do the job. The information is public records, so just a matter of figuring out how to look it up.

In Washington state all property records are public, you can find out who owns property from the address from the county recorder's office. The property tax records have the owner listed. It's all on the web here but when I've gone to the office before the web they were most helpful.

@cosmicfires also very true, however typically here office buildings are not owned by the occupant. Still worth a look.

There's also the good old walk in at lunchtime with a sack lunch from somewhere and ask if this is the <insert address / name of neighboring business> site. UberEats FTW.

Chances are you'll be told the name of the business at that site if it's not already displayed on the wall somewhere. :D

I always wonder with these... Did they forget to put the parking break on?

At my old work a young kid who had a Passat forgot to do that and the parking lot had a slight slope and... whoopsie, the car rolled into the wall across from his parking spot and messed up the back pretty good.
Luckily nobody was parked back there or then he would have had real fun time dealing with insurance.

So that begs the question: if no parking break, just roll the car into a spot and try to chock the wheels? :notsure:

Not with how the front tires are positioned. If he rolled straight back (like he probably would have), he would have just gone straight into the pillar, no?

If there's no break in the parking brake, then just use it as normal.

If however your parking brake suffers some sort of break, then yes it would be wise to chock a wheel with a brick or a rock until you can get that break in the parking brake repaired. You wouldn't want the broken brake to be the cause of breaking something. :D

I am just impressed when I see it referred to as a Parking brake and not an Emergency brake.
