The parking violation also applies for permit holders who’s vehicle contact or overlaps the lines.59EBA630-F6EA-413B-9C2B-5C312CEEC30D.jpg

One thing I learned today was that if a person parks like an asshole, they probably are one themselves...

My dad I drove out to Asbury Park, New Jersey to meet some friends at the Silverball Museum. We both noticed a gray late model Honda Civic parked across two spaces. Surprisingly, the car was registered in our home state of Pennsylvania, and not in New Jersey (people from Jersey have a reputation for being assholes). Once my dad parked (across from ten Civic), I told him I was going to photograph the car and post it on THIS thread.

I would like to point out that the car was not running and the windows were quite illegally tinted. Basically, one would not have known there were people in the car unless they really looked. I assumed the car was empty, and just as I approached the car with my phone out, this hoodrat white trash 20-something woman who'd been sitting in the driver's seat gets out of the car and says "Don't you be taking pictures of my car."

I could tell by the tone in her voice and her body language that she knew exactly why I was taking a picture of her car, and I said "Relax, lady" and walked away. Then, for good measure, I flipped her the bird. This is when I realized there was more than one white trash woman in the car. An older woman, who I learned was the first one's mom, gets out of the shotgun seat and starts following me back to my dad's SUV. My dad knew I'd gone to take pictures of the Civic but was unaware that any of this was going on.

I ran up to my dad freaking out, saying "There were people in the Civic there's some crazy lady following me!"

This crazy bitch followed me back to the Pilot, and my poor dad ended up stepping in between us before anything could happen. The younger one ended up telling her crazy mom to lay off, and she further proved that she knew why I was taking picture when she said she was "saving the second spot for somebody" and ended up apologizing for the misunderstanding.

Psycho mom just couldn't get past the fact that I'd given them the bird, but the daughter who got so pissed off at me in the first place ended up being the voice of reason.

What I'm hoping the women learned:

    1. If you don't want me taking pictures of your vehicle the don't park it on public property.

    2. Don't park your vehicle illegally in public if you don't want to end up on "Asshole Parking."

    3. Don't be disrespectful to strangers if you don't want to get flipped off!

    What I learned:

    1. Taking pictures of ordinary vehicles just is not worth it anymore, no matter how stupid it is that people react the way they do.

    2. I've been in denial for years, but I'm finally starting to realize that people are nuts!

I have been confronted before I just say I am a drivers ed instructor and use these pictures for examples on how not to park. I also say feel free to call the police you are in a public place so I am free to photograph. They usually just huff and puff and walk away.

If any vehicle is on a public street, it can be photographed. Period. I use the story that I am a Driver's Education teacher all the time. I'm an old fart, so I look the part. Never had anyone attempt to get crazy with me. I CCW, so they'd likely not appreciate a Glock in their face.

Keep taking the pics, so they get embarrassed.
