But it's still not an asshole parking, it's just an ASSHOLE who can park but is afraid someone may drive their truck off the boat in the middle of the water.

Car alarm assholes, maybe this category deserves its own thread. They do seem to be able to park between the lines though.

I doubt the guy intentionally set off his panic. Might of happened when he put his keys in his pocket or something. People do it all the time.

Personally I'd take someone parking one car in 4 spaces over these car alarm assholes. At least with them I can shake my head and still get a good nights sleep.

I'd give this guy a pass... chances are the motion of the vessel set of the alarm. A lot of cars' alarms have the potential to do that. Too bad the ship didn't try to locate the owner over the PA, though.

That was kind of my whole point though. You have a motion activated alarm, and you just parked your car on something that moves. The alarm is going to go off.

Actually I counted at least 4 car alarms going off on this trip. Either more people than normal armed their alarms without thinking or this old ship vibrates more than the newer boats we usually take.

The car isn’t even in a spot. And the rest of the lot was empty.

Yea, I hear ya. I think a lot of cars automatically arm those alarms just by locking the doors.

I have a few questions. Like why they are allowed to have a drivers license?

Most people only have factory alarms now. This isn’t the 80s and 90s. Vast majority of the OEM alarms only go off when a door is open. Very few have actual shock sensors added to them. Only time they will have any motion sensors is maybe in a high end vehicle or with an aftermarket alarms that’s an add on. Again very very few. While it’s possible the vibrations triggered some of the alarms that actually have a shock sensor, my guess is majority of them were simply only in panic mode. The owners probably hit the button putting their keys in their pants pockets or purses.
