So you haven't given us your overall thoughts on the Rebel. Pros/cons, happy with your decision, etc.

Wow! aYe? sorry about the taco. aye? :)
I like the Rebel - nicest Ram truck in a long time. They also have their new HD Rebel Power Wagon :transformer: which seems to be a Raptor-equivalent HD truck. A friend just got one and it is very nice.

I beg to differ, the Power Wagon is a completely different type of truck than the Raptors. The PW is a 3/4 ton off road go anywhere you're willing to point it, chase truck.

The Raptor is more of a high speed slam into anything bigger than a curb/smaller than a Jersey barrier, 4x4 pre-runner.

    Vehicle:
    2016 RAM Rebel
    2012 TRD Sport - STOLEN! / 2016 RAM Rebel
    Pros:
    - Air Ride suspension with Off Road 2"+ / Normal 0" /Aero -1" / Entry-Exit mode on fob -2" for the lady in a skirt and heels
    - Load sensor that automatically adjusts rear ride height
    - Spacious interior / comfy seats / fold down rear platform / removable in-floor storage bins
    - Media console / 9 speaker Alpine system with sub / 8.4" touch screen with apps and NAV / BU cam / Comprehensive & customizable in-dash info centre
    - Double lid console / huge arm rest / dual phone holder
    - Power adjustable seats with lumbar
    - Dual climate / heated seats / heated steering wheel, windshield, mirrors, rear window & power slide
    - Power folding mirrors with puddle lights
    - Built in brake controller / trailer plugs in bumper / power lock tailgate / bed lights
    - Remote start
    - Phone app to start/stop/disable
    - MDS that gives 10L/100km at 120kph (averaging 15.2km/100km at the moment)
    - GOBs of power
    - 3:92 rear diff / lockers
    - Push button shift selector on steering wheel

    Cons:
    - No shifter / dial select on dash... very awkward
    - Passenger seat doesn't power UP (wife is short)
    - Air Ride does what it wants / goes back to NORMAL height from Off Road at 35mph
    - Crazy expensive aftermarket (e.g., $1600 USD for sliders and $2600+ for winch bumper -)
    - 33" tires on a narrow stance, it needs 35" and spacers (already have 1 1/2" spacers on my bench)
    - Very heavy, and tail end is skittish in rain/wet
    - Understeer in front end compared to the Taco with Icons and 33's
    - Cheap looking fender flares (colour-matched black Bushwackers found in classifieds and on their way)
    - No storage behind rear seat
    - No bed rails / limited bed storage solutions
    - Bed is short at 5'7" for a big truck (should be 6'4")
    - Stock running boards are way to low at 12" clearance in NORMAL height mode
    - Air Suspension is too bouncy in NORMAL

So... I've sourced or have the following:

    - LEER 100XL with roof tracks in black (picking up later this week)
    - Gloss black painted Bushwackers NIB (buddy is bringing them from the GTA next weekend)
    - 1 1/2" spacers (should improve stance and eliminate some of the understeer)
    - BAJA Mega Mule for the cap (Taco leftover)
    - Smittybilt winch (Taco leftover) / Blue Sea 600 amp ON/OFF switch / 400 amp ANL breaker
    - and a winch tray that I need to mod then fab up cross members for the HWM
    - Flush mount bumper pods (Taco leftover)
    - DCLB AVID step sliders with kick outs (91") that'll fit perfect. I have the frame braces for weld-ons already, since I was going to do that on the Taco, so I'll mod those as bolt-ons for the RAM

I also found a way to fool the suspension into a 2" lift in NORMAL mode for under $100, that I can switch out in less than 5 minutes (instead of paying $2600 USD for a 4" BDS lift, plus 10 hours shop time, since that is out of my skill set). That mod I'll detail in one of the reserved postings.

The Power Wagon is nice, but I like the interior console in the Rebel more... and it's outta my budget at $70k CAD. I already have a new Smittybilt 10K K02 Comp RC winch left over from the Taco build, so I'm going to install it behind the front bumper, since there is a large void that can fit it perfectly (something that I learned here).

So I don't understand. How did they "steal" your tacoma? Someone just out of the blue broke in and got it on a trailer or something?

BTW, I almost bought what you have now, but that is coming in 2 years when I retire. I'm buying it as a gift for (ahem) my wife.

No... too busy here and too short notice for the dealer. I put a deposit on it, so I'll let you know when I do schedule pick up.

Sounds good man. Are you going to hit any trails with it this year? Also is the swisha loop still on the table?

    At first I thought... WTF?

But now I get it... dodge. LOL

Trails and logging roads for sure. Swisha still sounds like a plan. Bring fishing rods, my man! The brookie fishing is awesome in that part of QC.
