A couple of weeks ago, I removed most of the front end to do three things.
    1. Repaint the lower valance (faded)
    2. tackle some rust that was on the back of the chrome bumper, etc.
    3. fix the left side bumper filler (small metal piece right below each headlight)
For task 3, I'm trying to figure out how it's supported. I ordered a variety of Toyota clips for the front grill, etc., and ordered 4 of part #52523-35050 Retainer front bumper filler.
Does anyone know how or have a picture of this clip installed?? When removing parts from the front end, I never ran across these.

    Diagram below doesn't help much.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the vehicle from the front, that would be upside down. flip it over, and it clips over the little tip of the fender panel underneath the corner light marker. The adhesive keeps it stuck there. Then the part of that clip that is protruding forward fills the tiny gap between the grill filler (aka headlight filler) and the corner panel. If you didn't have those on there, you'd probably never know that they were supposed to be there.

I imagine that you weren't waiting around for two years for someone to answer this, and you figured this out already!

I am an idiot when it comes to trucks . Is the tiny gap between the grill filler on the left or right side where I would install the retainer .

Here you go, it’s sort of torture finding which part numbers go where because there are many different clips.
