Good afternoon, folks. I’ve attempted the paperclip recalibration a multitude of times on my 3rd gen, following the instructions/video posted in a thread here on TW exactly, but cannot get my truck to react in anyway at all. Is there anyone in Southern California skilled at this and would like to help me out? I’d love to learn how to do it myself, but even if you have a scanner/software that will do it I would appreciate it. This is my third time knocking my alignment out like this, and I all but refuse to pay Claremont Toyota $660 bucks to recalibrate it. I’ll totally buy you a sixer, Starbucks, in n out...just let me know what ya want! I live in upland, but I’ll travel for sure. Thanks in advance.

Just went through this for a TW member. The paperclip method would not work. Ended up using my code reader. Mine has ABS functions.

Once connected I pressed the ABS button. Immediately showed a code for "zero point calibration."

Then I pressed the erase button and poof. No more light on the dash.

OP if you don't want to buy a similar code reader. I can try to clear that light for you. I'm in Lakewood.

Thank you so much! Did just the light go off, or were all the functions disabled by the error turned back on? It’s insane how many functions of the truck are disabled due to this. Thanks, again! I will look into purchasing one, but I may take you up on your offer. I appreciate it so much.

$660?! Red McCombs Toyota in San Antonio charged me like $80 or $90.
The paperclip method didn't work for me either. Tried it a thousand times so I resorted to the dealer.

There were error messages for traction control, TSS (radar sensor in the grille). Multiple systems rely on the zero point calibration.

All lights were cleared after the zero point was performed. Back to normal.
