I am looking at a lot of kits on here and finally at a place where I am really looking into upgrading the suspension. My question is more technical in the aspect that I want to know the pro/con of reservoir vs non reservoir shocks?

Fox and King both offer versions of each, and I am really curious as to why one would chose one vs another (besides eye candy! lol)? I am not planning on high-speed desert runs or going airborne, but a lot of trails here are moguls and overheat the stock offroad suspension rather quickly and offer a lot to be desired in the control department. Is it worth the upgrade in price to go reservoir?!

All installed and assembled the "beadlocks"... Awaiting either tire upgrade or next scheduled maintenance to swap them over.... Only 5k on the stockies... So hard to swallow tossing them.

    King doesn’t offer non-reservoir versions.

Basically, the reservoir adds more oil, meaning better cooling under high load and MAYBE slightly better ride since there’s more oil circulating.

If you went with the adjustable reservoirs, you can really fine tune the compression dampening to get a comfy ride, but King only has high speed compression.

Fox has dual speed so you can adjust low speed for around town, price is slightly more but well worth it.

PM me and I’d love to get you going in the right direction plus with the group Buy, you can’t best the deal!
