I'm currently sitting at the Toyota dealer in Lloydminster Alberta and they're looking into a high pitched whine jn my blower motor/ fan. Anyone know if this is a common issue or maybe even some there is a tsb for I can look at?
Also, -1 rep for this dealership. I live 170 km north of here, called 9 days ago to schedule appointment for oil change, intermediate shaft tsb, and to install remote starter, this after spending over 4000 here on tires wheels and other accessories in the last 3 months, and when I get here they say "no remote starter today, we're all booked up."
Looks like I'm finding a new dealer to come to from now on. This is not the first time they did something like this to me.

Again, any help with the fan noise?

It is a common issue. It seems some owners have had it replaced (under warranty) several times only to return again. There is a DIY fix on here somewhere also.

Update: they pulled up the tsb on the service computer and they ordered me a new one accordingly. Gonna have to drive the 170 k again in two weeks. This and now they're trying to tell me I was quoted wrong on the starter, and it's actually $50 more than quotes. I don't think they're gonna win that argument as the quote was emailed and it says its good for 30 days. I'll keep you all posted.

    Update:
They did the starter. They did the oil change. As for the blower motor. They said they're gonna rip one out of a 2011 and put it in mine. Does anyone know if this is the same motor the tsb calls for?

Got the new blower motor, and fan, all from a 2011. Don't know if I'd wanna know that if I was buying that truck. Anyways, got out with the command starter, intermediate shaft tsb, new blower motor, oil change, and wheels retorqued and pressure balanced all in under 6 hours, turned out to be not a bad visit. thanks all for the help. Oh, the only shitty thing? my starter remotes are a gay ass blue, and I no longer have the lock/unlock confirmation for my doors. Any idea if this is reversible? I'd like it back.
