Had VHB tape on hand. chose to use as 'sealant' and 'adhesive' for L-track. riv-nuts located as indicators for cutting tape for clearance when mounted.

The L-track I mounted yesterday is permanently affixed due to the VHB tape used. The mounting of this upper rail does not look as clean as I had envisioned, but will be functional. Today mounted the lower rail with an additional operation consisting of inappropriate tool use in that I cut 5/8 inch clearance backside of the rail with a Forstner bit. Forstner bit is a tool for wood only. End result with much better appearance with lower L-track permanently attached to Habitat. other issue was snapping the Astro tool mandrel off inside a riv-nut, tool needs a replacement part and riv-nut is useless. no worry, have enough screws and rivnuts placed. another step or two and I'll be able to mount a 4 gallon rotopax on the side wall of the Habitat, and be able to fuel up, and then siphon off as needed...just like OP.. In the past I have found a 4 gallon Rotopax can of gas was too much for me to handle and i stopped useing it after having a hard time in a snow storm cuz fingers got too cold and CARB funnel was junk. Being able to mount the 4 gal. can on the sidewall will be a treat. end of posting. last photo.

How do you like the quality of the product, now that you have it? I am considering a similar purchase.

It seems great. @250$ it was a definitely worth it for me. I'll be using it quite a bit the next coming weeks so should be able to give a better review then, but already the time and space saved is worth it to me. I can literally deploy and pack it back in its sack in under 90 seconds.

Anyone have any issues with the vinyl peep windows on the overhang side (ie tearing or cracking or discoloration)?

Not to date. Honestly would trade them for ventilation more like the other side.

The crew at AT Overland are pretty awesome. They called and talked last week for a long time about solar panels and placement and took the time to get everything laid out perfectly for the roof of my Atlas. I'm picking it up Friday morning and I couldn't be more excited.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Awesome!!!! Can’t wait to see pics of it.
