All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Thought about deaver stage 3? I just stuck a set on and they are riding like butter.

Added carpet to my doors and rear hatch. Found a perfect match for the carpet at Home Depot for $20 per roll.

Here’s some updated pictures of the mods I’ve made to my build. Figured this would help give other people ideas if they are doing the same. Any input or ideas anyone else have would be greatly appreciated

FWIW - I have been trying to add the carpet and replace the gas struts on the rear hatch for 4 weeks now. AT claimed the carpet was special from the mill and that the Suspa C16-24193 strut was a special strut only they could source. They made it seem like it was all custom and i could only get it from them. So i kept trying to order and they would never send me an invoice. I called and emailed multiple times over the 4 week period and it seemed like my order was not a priority. After getting frustrated, i went on the search for these items on my own.

I found the exact match for the carpet at Home Depot for $20 a roll. - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Foss-Un...ndoor-Outdoor-Area-Rug-CP45N41PJ1VH/202800194

I found the Suspa C16-24193 strut on the Suspa website for $32 ($10 cheaper then what AT quoted me for replacements). - https://shop.suspa.com/c16-24193-gas-spring-p585.aspx

The point of this is to share that these items are NOT that special and if you need replacements for worn parts, it probably easier and faster to just get them from the source rather than AT so i wanted to share the links.

looks like you’ve already solved your issue but for others that are looking to do the same.

I take my FlipPac off with 4 people and it’s pretty easy. I built a dolly with some 1”x6”, 2”x4” boards, and castors.
    - unbolt FlipPac
    - get inside and lift the back end up and shimmy dolly under.
    - move toward front and lift and and shimmy dolly and FlipPac.
    - one person each corner and slide and dolly to the tailgate.
    - pick up and set on tailgate to reset.
    - lift on tailgate and set on ground.
The whole operation takes 5 minuets of you e for 3 other bodies.

Anyway, just happened to see that post and figured I’d chime in but that’s not why I’m here. So I’m considering selling the FlipPac and moving to a habitat I understand there is a bit of a wait but that’s not a huge issue. I’m mostly curious about the electrical add ons (solar connection/battery) they offer do you all think it’s worth it to pay the premium and have them install it? I’m capable of getting it done myself but I’m definitely a procrastinator when it to that type of stuff so figured it might be worth it, thoughts? Thanks guys.

well since your capable..i'd just say install yourself. I paid for install all good, but still had to redo some of that install, plus modify so that the shell was tied into the frame not just the bedsides/bedrail. I did my my own electrical, nothing trick, but works for me. I bought the basic level unit. no ragrettes! If you got all that extra cash lay'n round...maybe go with the extras...but for me basic is good.

I always say it again. The only option I wish I would have gotten was color matching.

For sure I think that's helpful, I think the basic unit would be all I need I really don't plan on running crazy that would draw a lot.

I am curious though, how did you tie in the shell to the frame? I'm working on putting together something similar for the FlipPac with the hope that it'll also fit the Habitat with some small modifications.

I thought it was pretty easy to run my own wiring. If you know how, just do it yourself. Well worth the time, and you'll know how it's put together so it'll be easier to mod and add stuff later if you want to.

I always thought it was just a coincidence it was named Mud Bay... never realized it was actually started down there. I think the first one I ever noticed was up in the Seattle area. I grew up in Elma, so we were always taking the Mud Bay exit into Oly. Never had pets, so never needed a pet store!
