It doesn’t seem practicle. You’re storage space and sleeping space all mixed in together and also closing and opening seems to be a pain but it’s fun as an idea. Also like that you get that bigger window in the back

I love the idea of flipping to over the cab, but not enough to move forward with any mods.

I like the big windows over the back too, but the little window is still where I actualluy want the big one.... at the head of my bed.

its the same exact as the AT normal way, just turned around. The bed is still open, sleeping area to one end. Just to the front.

I can see opening and closing being a pain but the rest you said doesnt make sense.

Well it makes sense to me. You now have to climb trough the otherwise storage shelf “overhang” area that is there in a “normal” configuration to get to your sleeping platform/area.

It's not the same exactly, the platform that is on the overhang now extends to the mattress area, so instead of having two surfaces on either end of the open space, there's just one long one. By "storage area" he meant the overhang platform, not the truck bed.

That tiny storage shelf overhang? :notsure: Doesn’t look too bad... I think you’re being a little nitpicky.

i dont see how a 4' x 2' area is a problem. In all videos of people opening and using the platforms that move they jump up to them then the sleeping area.

I dont see how that isnt practical when odds are a bed build-out will be happening and you have to clear that area to close anyway.

Is normally separate from the sleeping area, so it makes a nice surface to stow clothes and other gear while camping so its not taking up space in the truck bed. But this this configuration, anything you put there will be in the way of getting in and out.

To each its own I guess. One also looses the shaded area when it’s flipped backwards. Aside from it being reminiscent of a flippack days I don’t really see the benefit of all this trouble. I’m not hating on it just wonder why one would butcher a well designed product if it doesn’t seem to yeld that much benefit aside from a cool factor

would be interested in seeing how much the vehicle moves either less or more from this position as opposed to the natural position. From watching videos they seems to move a lot with movement in the tent sleeping area. Without any knowledge of them, id say it will be more stable forward.

I like the flip forward idea... I wonder how easy it would be to make it happen with a standard hab. I don't dislike the flip back idea, as its definitely nice having the built in awning, but I would consider switching to a flip forward setup if its not a ton of work.
