We have the Exped Megamat Duo and it fits the Habitat - snug at the front because of the bars, but it works and very comfortable.

Ours is the 53” wide one. It’s snug around the poles but also pushes against the tent on the sides. Not good for rainy nights.

Doesn’t matter because my wonderful spouse can’t comprehend the statement “don’t slide it along that sleep platform, it has a sharp edge...”

    Sigh.

I feel like hes talking about over the truck bed on panels, not in place of standard mattress?

    ^^^^this.

The forward half of the tent over the truck bed and cab, not the cantilevered bed section.

I spend all day, every day, rooting around in medical records. There isn’t anything that will shock or offend me at this point. Ever see Fournier's gangrene.... don’t google it unless you are strong stomached.

I used to sleep on a half platform, and while it was unnerving at first, yeah no, never got used to it. I’d recommend adding a flange along the side to keep you from rolling in. Then flip the platform over so the flange is down for stowing the tent.

Those with platforms. Does your forward support flange flex away from the flange? Been thinking of adding a series of pop rivets across.

good stuff on the platforms...turning it over to stow is a good idea...i'll see some pictures..think about it for a good while..and as far as the strong stomached..hmm yes..it can be acquired..no edited...never thought about a platform till recently. wasn't there some issue with fabric rubbing and wearing?
