    About halfway done...
:eek:When I see shit like this I realize how important off-street parking is. Before I moved to Seattle full time my motorcycle was knocked over three times. After replacing the clutch lever twice I gave up and rode around with a broken one for at least a year....

I was living in Green Lake at my GF’s place for a while.. street parking in Seattle is of its own kin.

Glad everything's ok! I made the mistake of trying to drive through Seattle once, maybe 6 years ago. NEVER. AGAIN. I forget what part of the city it was in, but nearly being run over by a city bus going the wrong way down a one way was the least exciting thing to happen. I do love the PNW though

Agree with al the above! Portland drivers are no better than Seattle...try to avoid whenever possible. However, outside the big cities, the PNW ids a big wonderful world.
Also...as my Summit delivery draws near, I do worry about the big shiny new aluminum target on the back of my truck

I was actually in the middle of typing up a response on this last night when all Hell broke loose in my culdesac.

Box is just made of some plywood, a 2x10 or 2x8 (can't remember right now), and a piano hinge.

Here are the base dimensions and rough drawing. Base being 21in wide on the end with the Battery switch, and the top being a 24 x 39 rectangle. The red lines are the 2x10s, The blue line over the red is where the piano hinge is located. The blue line generally depicts where the "door" is that opens up to see what's inside, piano hinge being the longer blue line. The 16in end towards the cab does NOT have anything covering it, giving more ventilation for any heat from the electrical.

My fridge is quite large at 75L. With the Habitat closed I cannot open the doors fully, but I still have no trouble packing it with full sized gallon jugs and such. I just can't remove the internal basket in the fridge without popping the Habitat loose. It's never been an issue though.

If you've got any other questions let me know. It was REALLY easy to make the box, and CHEAP.

This is obviously not an answer to your question, but aren't they pretty light duty?

Quote from J66 product description on Wheeler's:
"Due to removal of the factory overload spring there will be a decrease in gross max weight handling capability over the stock leaf packs."

Ryan, thanks...That's a great description. I am looking to do some sort of organization inside of my Summit, but I haven't got it figured out yet. I have been toying with the idea of trashing the group 31 in favor of Lithium batteries, but electrical is NOT my strength.

I’ve been thinking of doing a wrap to help scratches... might work for paint.

Electrical isn't mine either. Luckily I have a friend that thoroughly enjoys it. He did most of the wiring and taught me a lot.

No plans for a fridge (for the time being, anyways lol) but I definitely want a power system with solar on board to run lights and such, and to give myself a jump if I ever run down the main battery somehow. Haven't even begun to research "RV Electrical" yet though

My habitat is supposed to be ready for pickup the end of this month so I was wondering about your guys experience with the install. Does AT do a good job sealing the front of the bed and the holes under the rail caps or is that something I should do before hand?

I wished I had done it before hand TBH. They put double bulb seal all around, but they leave the big holes on top of the bed side rails that the caps used to cover, so I feel it's not the best sealing job. But that was a year and a half ago, maybe they've started doing it differently.
