I’ll never rely on an electric vehicle for remote travel.

I would feel safe trusting an electric vehicle about as much as I would any, but the issue is battery capacity. When they can get capacity of energy closer to a fossil fuel we'd be golden.

I gotta admit though, this infographic I found must not be to scale, lol. Cause a whole lot more than 27 of those little diesel circles would fit in that big Lithium one, but you get the idea. 27x more energy dense than a battery.

It's also biased in a lot of ways. It takes a lot of fossil fuels to dredge up fossil fuels from the ground. There's also a ton of methane lost because it's not profitable to transport those gasses in from the fields that oil is extracted from. With electric vehicles and others. The initial investment in terms of sunk coast is a one time thing for each battery, Solar Panel, Wind Mill, etc. Once they've been made they can recharge many batteries.

Still, fossil fuels are still better in terms of transferring power. They haven't unlocked the secrets of fusion. There are no Star Trek suitcase sized fusion reactors to power shield generators, phaser arrays, starships and medical equipment to detect, treat, and cure cancer.

Until then, we're stuck w/ making a lot of black smoke and watching anti-vaxxers spread measles around the world.

My taco w/ 20 gallons of extra fuel usually gets me to where I'm going.

You know the novaxers is a good point. They’ll weed out a bunch of our excess population, so I can burn 3-5 people worth the fossil fuels and still have lower footprint than now.

Factually, you're not wrong.. But brilliant people come in all forms, sizes, and dispositions.

    • Einstein
    • Hawking
    • Turing
    • etc
Despite people being ill-informed, it would still be beneficial to have them put their efforts toward something more productive. People are so against genetic engineering, but I think if society could at bare minimum figure out how to make health (mental and physical) not an issue anymore, people could focus on things that matter.

    I like it, but I don’t $750 like it. That’s awful steep. I was expecting <$500

Yeah... the ARB awning room was only $200, and it is an 8x8 cube, with a floor, and screen and zipper walls. Obviously I had to have the $300 awning to go with it, but in this case, the Habitat IS the awning. Like you said, I like it, but I don't $750 like it. lol

Hard to comment. I know what it's like trying to be a small business and keep things profitable. At the same time this seems a little price gougy, a little frustrating to see especially for a product that is 100% for their already loyal customers.

All that said I dont know that I can blame them, not a cheap operation they are running and sometimes in order to be a successful business you have to strike while the iron is hot.

Guess it's a sign of a strong economy when people are willing to pay $750 for a glorified tarp.

I agree if it was closer to $450 I'd definitely pick one up.

I agree 100%. $450 I'd already have an order placed lol

$750 I'll go without or DIY. I can get a few nice tarps and clip them in the same way.

I think it will. Based on the number of people with swing outs, I’d be shocked if they didn’t account for that

if it doesn’t fit, I’ll buy it from you for $400
