    I'm trying to decide on which steps to pull the trigger on my self. Not doing any heavy off-roading and my main concern is finding one that will hold up to the winters and salt up here in North East.

    Wow this thread got off track...

    With regards to the original topic, I'm surprised no one mentioned a raspberry pi 2 and a NAS. Ours does a fantastic job. We are fighting with some of the setup right now, but will soon have retropie installed for game emulators as well.
