Right at the top of the page it says they cannot guarantee the accuracy and some of their listings were converted, if you look back at the video of a Gen1-2-3 you will see a 2nd beat a 3rd, plus on dirt I think it would probably be by a larger margin.

Find me a full size with the same features for 33K.

But I didn't want a full size anyway. Got rid of my Silverado 1500.

That gen 1-2-3 video posted a while back was a joke.
It really showed nothing. I think it was the first 150 feet they showed before the 3rd would have passed it, which they didn't show, lol.

While we're here, what about the gauntlet towing where 3rd beats 2nd by 45 SECONDS !!!
I could have went and had a couple of beers before the 2nd pulled up.

I have no argument and agree that the 3rd Gen will eventually pass a 2nd Gen after enough ground to get it up in the powerband, but on that dirt race l think the 2nd Gen would win as it is lighter and has more Torque at lower Revs.

Nope. The truck has 270 hp and runs well over the speed limit. Anyone who says these trucks don't have enough hp to maintain road speed are just full of shit. Period. It has 270 hp. It wasn't but 10 years ago that 300 hp was an impressive number. 2005 the Mustang GT came with 300. Now for some reason that number is a joke. It's nonsense.

Here is some interesting data from Motor Trend that seems to call into question the Frontier beating the Tacoma 3rdGen in this video. I tossed the data in on the 2ndGen too. All are the 4x4 v6 auto models tested

    0-60 seconds

    Frontier: 7.8
    3rdGen: 7.1
    2ndGen: 7.7

    1/4 mile:
    Frontier: 16.1
    3rdGen: 15.4
    2ndGen: 16.1

This hard data seems to end the debate in this thread.

I have a Car and Driver Magazine from 05 or 06 and it tested Frontier and Tacoma, 7.1 15.7 Tacoma, 7.6 16.1 Frontier

This data further suggests the 3rd gen is indeed faster than the 2ndGen and Frontier.

Magazine times are all over the map.

Automobile got 8.9 seconds 0-60 and Car and Driver got 7.7, Motor trend 7.1

    Who's right?

Different drivers, different days, different test venues, different test results.

The video where they are side by side would be the most valid since both trucks are being tested in the same venue at the same time, the driver being the primary variable.

And in that side by side test the 2nd gen beat the 3rd gen.
