I used to have Verizon...had them for about 4years...then switched over to Cingular (now AT&T) and havent looked back

I dont experience any of the signal issues that most folks claim is the biggest issue...and my experience with their customer service is fantastic

Verizon, on the other hand, I had the complete opposite experience with

I had problems with every phone i had, and it was a completely struggle to get anything done with them

At one point, they decided that since my dad and i had the same address, our accounts should be linked (without me or my father's permission)

They then passcoded the linked account and it took us about 3 months to figure out the passcode, get that changed, and get our accounts unlinked

Nobody was helpful during the process

I also regularly experienced dropped calls and the price i'm paying now vs when i was with verizon is phenomenal

The merger is bad for all of us, regardless of carrier. Less competition = less options = higher phone bills.

AT&T wireless increased it's profits, even with news of the iPhone coming to Verizon, by $1 billion in the last quarter of 2010 over it's 2009 profits for the same quarter. Hardly a company that is poised to "go under".

I was in the ATT store this morning looking to switch from Sprint. The way they set up their plans and options is rediculous. I've been with Sprint for 10 years and am tired of being a red headed step child (Nextel), no offense to you ginger step children.

ATT is the only option at my house for wireless coverage but they don't offer unlimited data like Sprint, and you have to almost piece meal everything together. It doesn't build for options in the plan, it just builds the bill up. Maybe more profits for them will offer better savings for the customers, but I won't hold my breath.

You will turn blue and die from holding your breath. I'm sure when this is all done and over with, AT&T isn't going to change their subscription plans.
