Less than 800 miles and I'm getting the transmission fluid checked and the hood looked at for the flexing. Pray for me.

Is this because you're having problems or just to get it checked because you're worried?

I had my tranny fluid checked with 4 miles on the odometer back in Feb before I drove it off the lot and the level was perfect from the factory. I look at the hood adhesive every time I raise the hood, no issues yet.

Hood adhesive failure should be covered under warranty.

If those are your only possible issues, then I'd say you already lucked out and are OK.

Even if your transmission fluid was a little low, you caught it early enough. Hood flexing is just a nuisance, no damage to anything there.

At this point, I have the gears slipping every morning and after I wash the truck i see the hood flex every time. Along with the delay from R to D.

Describe the "slip" you're encountering, I assume you're driving the truck in D exclusively?

How long is the delay from R to D and is it only when the truck is cold?

So the slip feels like driving stick, try to shift and giving gas too early but only for a moment. The delay can take moments, 2 seconds or so,even with gas pedal down it wont move then it jerks. But after the truck had been running for a while, that issue won't exsist. It'll feel normal.

I had my hood fixed and it looks like Stevie Wonder did the job AND it still vibrates.

Is the slip only just from R to D? Does it feel like it slips while in motion, 2nd to 3, all modes of driving?

Are you at a complete stop and hold the brake at all when shifting from R to D?

Ya, they fixed it when they replaced my rear diff @ 451 miles. They already gave 1 payment refund and the 7yr/100K Toyota Care warranty. They said they could get me a new hood and have it painted, just don't want to go that route. Factory paint is always the best. I've seen some terrible paint jobs, lol.

I have some seam sealer that use can use in joints for car audio that I might give a shot. It will just look super crappy and be black. I even through about a small piece of dyno mat.

Maybe someday I'll get a scoop hood on my OR or something.

The dealers really can't offer much like this, I went through Toyota Care (the 800#) who worked w/the service manager. Main thing is to be super nice, honest and understanding. Have a lot of patience and just state your concerns and disappointment and such in a professional manner.
