I'm a pretty new member here, but am, shall we say, "advanced in years".

Bought the truck a couple months ago and will need a set of tires pretty soon. Mostly on paved roads. Details below.

2002 TRD 4WD auto. "Option 1" tires, which means alloys wheels and 265/70-16 tires. Two sets of wheels, one set of tires worn out. New frame and other stuff very recent. BTW have a set of nearly new rear springs that were installed about 1 year before frame replacement, which came with new springs.

Currently have a set of General AT tires with great tread. Really for off road/deep snow, LT265/75 16.

Want to get a set of "all season" road tires for non winter use (or year round), mostly on paved roads.

I am partial to Coopers, but am open to any good handling, reasonably quiet and good riding long lasting tires. Oh, and cheap too. Not asking for much, I know.

Oh, and feel free to move this where ever might be better.

Check out General APT. Great for highway and mild off-roading. Snow rated too.

I've run BFG's and Cooper AT3's. Coopers are my preference. Michelin LTX's are great in snow, but they are pretty pricey. The Coopers are excellent in snow in my experience.

I’m replacing my cooper at3s with falken wildpeaks, they go on wed. The coopers were solid, they are gettin louder and louder. I got 50k on em, still have tread but the last 10k they haven’t been as good in rain or snow.

Think that's what I'm going to go with but in 245 just to try to keep my mpgs as much as I can(why I bought taco and not tundra) and discount tire seems to have best deals. Now just to wear factory hankook tires out 16k down......

Are you joking or serious? OP asked for all season road tires. The KO2 is one of the heaviest tires you can put on and only decently good (from what I've read) for highway use.

IMO the best onroad tire is the michelin defender ltx, but that's not your cheap requirement. I've put about 40,000 on mine and they are around 6/32's so maybe about 1/2 way done.

If you want an AT tire that's good on road I'd say look at a yokohama G015 or maybe the falken wildpeak at3w or cooper at3.

General grabber at2's have been really good to me..
    They wear really good!
my only complaints are I wish they looked more aggressive on sidewalls..
And i wish they made more noise on interstate

Falken Wildpeak At3ws all the way! I can not say one thing about these tires they've done more then the bfg's in two wheel drive. Then kick it in 4x4 and i feel unstoppable for what I do. I'm on pavement about 50 percent then gravel 30 then either the fields or dirt/rock roads 20 percent. They shine up nicely to.IMG_20180326_200421_042.jpg

I've had these for about 2 years so they have about 30k on them. I really like these tires, quite on the pavement and I've had no problem in snow or mud. I drive farm and gravel roads pretty often, they've never left me stuck.
Edit, my only gripe with these is that they pickup alot of gravel. Other than that no cupping, they wear evenly and I've had no issues

These are great tires. Had them on my 4Runner. . .at my request the Firestone dealer mounted them RWL in, and even blacked out the RWL so it wasn't visible under the vehicle.

Take a look at their new Destination AT Special Edition.

Very cool molding patterns in the sidewall that look cool when clean & shiny.....and even better with some dried mud on them. Goes from urban camo look to woods camo, lol.

I saw them in a store this morning when I was ordering my new rubber. A buddy has a set that I've seen muddied up. Store had the first clean set I've seen.

Not my pic, but it's exactly how they looked at the Firestone store today.

I've had their Destination AT (normal version) on three different 4x4 trucks and got well over 50K on each set. Excellent offroad as well as on the highway.

I'd have bought the AT Special Edition today, but had my mind made up prior on their MT2 tires.
