I'm no expert, by no means, but this is my understanding also, (as posted above somewhere) if you have a class III you can build and own a FA, if no class III, the firearm/sear in question must be made prior to 1986.

Just Quicken. Although at some point I'd like a lawyer to look at it.

Hey thanks, Zombie. That's some good reading. I think this is how I will go about getting my SBR. I like the idea of no finger prints and I already have a LLC set up. +1 for good info :quickdraw:

Sounds like alot of paperwork for those "sons o' guns" guys. I knew having all that cool stuff mustn't be easy to do.

I've done enough form 4's to pretty much cover everyone in this thread.

You'll need a 1 form 4 for the suppressor. You'll need another form 4 for the sbr.

If it was a rifle, being converted to a SBR, via a short integral suppressor/barrel combo, then it would fall under a single form 4 as long as you never pull the barrrel from the reciever.

Dont SBR the GSG5-PK. Get yourself a good 22lr can, and forget the stock. That 22lr rifle isnt worth it to SBR, since its not robust enough to withstand a lifetimes use.

If you were SBR'ing a Stainless steel 10/22 action, then yes, that would make sense.

You mean, as long as you don't pull the silencer from the barrel, right? Pulling the barrel from the receiver would be just cleaning or the gun in some cases.
