So I wanted to monitor my ATF temps and as I scoured the forums ive seen people use Scan gauge, kiwi3, and a general OBD2 Bluetooth connector with an app like torque pro or similar.

Some people seem to have had inconsistencies in the general OBD2 connector.. so it seems like scan gauge and kiwi3 might be more reliable but I’m not sure if one may be better than the other? Im leaning towards kiwi3, seems a little more intuitive.

Lmk if any of you have had any personal experience with either of them.

Scangauge has served me well since I got mine in 2007-2008. Same unit has been through three different vehicles on the way to my Tacoma, has always worked. Might finally send it in for a software update reflash, otherwise it keeps soldiering on.

Another vote for the Scan Gauge. This is the third vehicle for mine. Loaded the X-Codes for ATF and works perfectly, great product.
