Say Hello To Chewbacca

Hey Guys! Welcome to my 2016 TRD Sport Tacoma Build. Before I get into the truck here's alittle back ground on me. I've always been into cars. Every car I've ever had never stayed stock for to long lol. I always had to mod stuff and try to make it better... But as we all know that doesn't always work out all the time lol anyway Here's a couple pictures of my s2000. And my R1.. I posted pictures of these because the s2000 and the R1 are one of the real reasons why I felt I needed and wanted to get a truck in the first place..

 

So with me trying to build my s2000 I was always having to barrow other people's trucks to pick up car parts and what not. I also take the s2000 and R1 out to thunderhill and button willow quite often, so I also needed a truck to haul around our track stuff as well. So acouple weeks ago I started looking for a Tacoma. I was looking for a Tacoma TRD Sport with the premium audio/tech package. And I ended finding one last week up in San Fransico so I called the dealership and they held it for me until I could pick it up this past Saturday. Here are some pics of when I first picked the truck up

 

Well so after about a 3 days of owning the truck the modding bug bite me lol I wasn't really feeling the chrome grill that much so I decided to break it apart and wrinkle black the front grill.. I decided to satin black the front emblem on the grill to give it a nice color contrast against the wrinkle black on the mesh part.





I had a couple people ask me what paint I used to so here's a picture of the paint can if any of you guys were wondering. You can pick it up at any auto parts store

Last night I installed my Rough Country 3in lift.. The install was pretty easy here's a before and after picture

I know it's kind of hard to see the difference, the pictures I took are garbage lol! I'll take better pictures later. I'm on the way to my friends tire shop to get my new wheels and tires installed

Switched out my original interior light bulbs for some new LED bulbs

 

Washed the truck today and took it out to the ranch to snap some pictures

 

What size tires? Didn't have to remove mud flaps?

 

The tires are a BFG 275/70 KO2s and no I didn't have to remove the mud flaps.. I only did it because I liked the way it looked without them.. But it was not needed

Small little update for you guys! Yesterday I had a chance to get my side windows as well as my front windshield tinted.

 

Today I got alittle bored and pulled off the Toyota exhaust tip and painted it black.
