Attach Pulley to Back of Bed

    Don't think it would ever actually be 800 lbs and wouldn't all be on the gate at once, but with friction and the force of pulling something in wanted a margin of error. Although that plate seems nice to have anyway.

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Not sure if you've tried it or not, but the tailgate can be removed in under a minute.

    Making the ramp to the bed would seem more secure

    Unless you have the tailgate bed lock mod applied. :)

    But I agree, 3-4 times a year is worth the effort.

    I run a remote controlled winch mounted to the front rail using the 5 threaded inserts on the rail for attachment. Ran 1 1/2” angle all the way across to spread the load. The cable is run into a fairlead attached to a bar that slides into the side rails. I use this setup to pull deer into the back of the bed. I also have a piece of plywood as a ramp.
