That's one of the silliest things I've ever heard, this is nothing like a car accident. Next time someone someone gets car jacked make sure you let the carjacker get your info, swap information. Just incase he tries to say you told him he could borrow the car.

He was attacked. The Dr can prove it was a dog. The picture proves he went there and there are no beware or tresspassing signs. When you're a victim of a crime you don't have to let the other party have shit, ffs man. It doesn't matter one bit whether he was on their property or not. If someone's dogs attack you, regardless of where you are, they can be held liable. Especially if you have no signs stating beware of dogs or no tresspassing. Even with no tresspassing you still needs signs for aggressive dogs.

The only thing different I would have done is called the cops from inside the truck and stayed there. To bad you don't carry ... this thread needs three dead dogs.

All she has to say is that the OP had nothing to do with her property or dogs at all and just decided to target her for a quick buck. She still could even with the photos- but it becomes much harder to make the story. And then you are stuck in a legal battle for a long time to get a criminal conviction- and then you have to go thru it all over again to get any money.

I have yet to find where Beware of Dog signs are required....Maybe laws are different where you are...but down here...I'm not required to put anything up (because there is no guarantee that the trespasser could and did read that sign...so it hold no legal merit)

A car jacking is NOT a car accident...so if you want to talk about bad examples- Yours is the problem.

She could have taken photos and still claim he was never on the paoperty.

 

She could have....She could do anything.

But if she had the photos it become far harder to do so-Why would someone take photos of an injured person just because? Additionally-While it seems she was a pretty huge uncaring bitch...if she was documenting it to submit to her homeowners insurance so his medical bills could get paid...all he did was delay that process. Another option that popped into mind is that those weren't her dogs...but since the OP just left...There is no way to know.

It would also have given the OP a min or two to calm down and take some more photos of the dogs/area of the property...and.or call the police to the property.

I don't ever leave the scene of an altercation without having spoken with the police and taken a couple photos for myself. The sign inviting people onto the property was a good step...but her photos would have been helpful too.
