I have an ATV that the rear end sits on the tailgate... Should I be concerned with having it like that for a 5 hour drive? I was debating whether or not to put down a sheet a plywood below it to spread out some of the weight.

I do it all the time. Never had a problem. Driving 8 hour trips with it like that.
