You are no fun. I use mine to get back and forth to deer blind. Saves wear on the truck and allows to run rough ranch roads quicker

    1) Fun to zip around in, just for fun and not use the truck.
    2) Fun to explore trails and beaches in (slowly).
    3) Saves wear and tear on the truck which stays in camp.

I haven't had an ATV since 1982, but I remember the fun!

The "riding around" fun wears off very quickly. There are only so many times you can drive it up and down that gravel road before it becomes work instead of fun.

But the "small tractor" element of them never goes away.

I use mine for pulling around trailers, in particular for collecting fire wood, and light snow plowing. When I bought it (16 years ago... wow, that means its actually *old*), did some riding around for a bit, but got tired of that. More enjoyable to actually *walk*. Probably should change its oil one of these days, I think its been close to 10 years :p

Gravel roads would be boring... You need to find some sand dunes!

Probably depends on the terrain around you too. I get bored very easily of gravel roads and would rather not be riding. I live in BC though with mountains everywhere and they are a blast to hit the trails up to the top of the mountains. The trails I go on have a good variety though, some steep hills, mud, off camber, ruts etc. Keeps it interesting.
