So at our camp, my Grandpa's old kawasaki bayou 250 has been sitting in a building for about 7 years. Hasn't started in forever. Might be a project for me to get it running. I mainly want to get it running because it was my Grandpa's who passed away in '07.. I miss him like crazy. I want to get in running because it would bring back so many memories.

drain gas/ oil and take the carp off and soak it in carp cleaner.(may not need to but i’d say 99% chance it needs to be cleaned) maybe let it soak a good day maybe 2, new spark plug, and give it ago and she if she will start.

I will probably do all of that. Plus a new battery. We just hope rats didn't chew on anything serious. If they didn't, I could see it running again.

I'm thinking of doing a thread of rebuilding it. Should I?

i thought about another brand led bar. but i also thought about getting one of the amber covers for it for when it’s really dusty.

also kinda limited to from bumper mounting since we already have a plastic roof(stock) and a fold down windshield.

mount it at the bottom of the windshield. you dont need a super big led bar, im sure a 10-20" would be sufficient.

it’s a fold down and all lexan it vibrates bad enough already, and i don’t know if it would work if it’s folded down and deff wont work if we take it off. If we go and it’s really hot and dry/dusy we just leave it at home or in the truck. I have seen a few mounted on the front bumper so thats probably where i’m going to mount it. i just don’t know if i want it on the very top, or between the 2 bars going side to side.

Meant to say bottom of windshield like on the plastic console, not actually attached to the lexan. My bad. I see a lot of people mount them that way

from a few days ago went up to the mountains. both will be getting new tires over winter. rhino will be getting sedona rip saw mounted on some sedona wheels. will make it a little wider(wider tires and wheel off set is different, also they will be 6ply radial tires instead of like 3ply tires. rancher may get some rip saws as well if they will fit stock steel wheels.

FYI anyone close to knoxville i will be selling the stock wheels and tires for the rhino, tires need to be replaced. will probably just take the tires off the wheel. I think they will fit some years of the grizzly as well.

what i have read is people like the sedona rip saws better than big horns. which is good, the yamaha and honda dealer here has full sets fully mounted and ready to bolt on, on the show room floor. they are great in rocks, hard pack, pretty good in mud and snow but kinda suck in sand.(i don’t really care about sand, we don’t have much and what sand we do have is washed out/broken up sandstone it’s more like dirt than sand). Also heard they really good on road whitch is also good since we get on the road quite a bit, going from one treal head to another or from a parking area to a trail. cops don’t really care at all, but we are probably going to get it street legal for roads with 40mph posted speed limit or less. just need to add blinkers and get a tag.
