I'm sure this is normal but an observation none the less. Temps are dropping so have been running my heater while wRming up vehicle. With heater on I can here a loud "click" under the hood. The timing is variable not at all same interval? Just curious.

If you have the mode set to defrost it's your AC compressor kicking on most likely...

Thanx. Will try to duplicate. It is set on defrost so that makes sense. It def goes away when I turn heat off. Didn't realize a/c comp. ran in defrost. This would explain the back in forth idling while in warm up and defrost on?

Thanks everyone for your input. Just continuing to learn about all the clicks and noises so I know when something is not right. Thanks for the knowledge!
