I've never had experience with subs amps or anything. I want a kicker zx300.1 amp and 2 10" or 12" kicker cvr comp. subs i would love for them to go behind my rear seat but im pretty sure they wont fit. I'm thinking about putting the boxes in the rear floorboard. I have a double cab. If anybody could give me some good ideas of where to install the subs and amp i would greatly appreciate it. Also I'm undecided about which head unit i want. I want to keep the price as low as possible. I've looked at some pioneer double dins but i would be fine with single din. Any help y'all can give me would be great. Thanks guys

SwingCase, driver side. PVC Bike rack. Aftermarket stereo.
They will fit. Check out *********, supercrew sound, Atrend, Amazon, Ebay, etc. Lots of places make boxes for behind the seat, with room for the amp between them.

As to head unit, what features do you need?

^^^ What he said and add Mr. Marv to the above list.

Check out the first 9 or so thread "Stickys" in the Audio & Video Forum. There’s a wealth of information with pictures that I found helpful with my audio system/install. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/audio-video/.

I also liked this thread too. Good luck!

I'd suggest checking out Crutchfield.com. Their online descriptions & pictures will help a lot and they have models for every budget. Once you have an idea of what you want their advisors can clear up any lingering questions you might have. First rate company and if you buy from them they'll include a wiring harness & dash kit for your radio (Head Unit).

I've looked at all the pioneer and Alpine radios because they seem to have the best customer satisfaction. What features do y'all recommended? Any radios that y'all really like?

Try and refrain from the ridicule I probably deserve but recently, I sold a 1988 325 BMW. Damn , I miss the clarity and upper end performance of the tweeters. Bavariansoundwerks offers a 6 speakers upgrade for about $588. That's a plug and play system and I'm only assuming it has the same power and ohm's as my factory OEM headunit. Does anyone have experience wading into european speaker upgrades for Taco trucks?????
