Anyone know anything in config of the truck to configure it that it turns radio automatically on when i start car, for some reason its always off when i shutdown the truck, i have to manually turn it on, and when i park shut it down, it seems to doesn't remember last state it was in, is it by design because i could of sworn it worked fine before and always turned back on. seems to start after last update.

anyone has similar thing or am i doing something wrong.

Mine stays the way it was set last, not sure if settings menu has that option.

There is a way in the settings. Read the manual, that’s the best bet at finding the right setting location.

My radio turns on to whatever state it was when I shut down my truck... Bluetooth or radio or off. Volume same too. Was like that since the day I brought it home.

+1. Mine does this too! Thought I was nuts. I have the JBL, wonder if that has any relevance?

I use the USB stick all the time... It starts real quick and comes back on after I shutdown...!!

Pull the USB stick and try the radio and see what happens.... If that fixed it, then maybe the USB stick needs to be reconfig'd or has a corrupt file or 2..?

Not sure on the 3rd Gen but my 2nd Gen I charge my iPhone using the USB outlet (since my regular car charger broke). If I left it on the iPod audio when I turn the truck off, it always starts in the OFF mode when I restart. Every time

Are you losing presets too? Or just the off/on deal?

URCHIM, did you ever find a solution to the radio problem as I now Have the same problem after the dealership did a firm update on my radio.
My radio use to be in whatever whatever state it was when I shut down my truck... radio on or off. Volume same too. It was Was like that since the day I brought it home. Now after the firmware radio upgrade the radio is always off when I start the truck - even if I left it on when I shut the truck off. Same goes for USB flash stick.

This radio is buggy. The reboot is always a good step. I’ve seen strange behavior with USB inputs and after using apps such as weather. Frankly I’ve given up thinking I’ll get it to work right and just reboot it periodically.

I had the same problem. The radio would be off almost every time I started the truck. It turned out to be a corrupt USB chip and a reformatting and reloading the files sorted it out, never had a problem since

If I have usb audio playing when I shut down the truck (or just turn off audio), when it restarts the usb audio plays at the exact the place I left off.
NOTE: I have a Samsung USB 3.0 FIT Drive

I'm in the same boat as OP, I've been dealing with it...but it would be cool to figure it out.
And, I've disconnected the battery to no avail.
