Can the Taco be programmed to honk the horn when locking/unlocking the doors using the key fob? Now my lights just flash.

Is there a list somewhere of customer programmable choices for my truck?

HI whitedog, I'm sure that if the lights flash you can pick up a feed for the horn to also chirp. My truck has a remote starter and it chirps when the doors lock.

No need for all of that! There is a way you turn the ignition on and hold certain buttons down that brings up options on your odometer and one of those options is the chine for locking/unlocking your truck. I am on my phone atm but if you search you should be able to find it. Try "Alarm chime" idk. I'll look when I get home later if you can't find it. What year is your truck?

    Clazzio seat covers,
Someone may have unplugged the "chirper" ... lift hood ... right of centerline ... little 1" square box ... unplugged nearby ... I have unplugged this on two trucks now ... lights still flash ... just a thought.

Easier way to find out is if it honks (Same horn). Good idea to check though

I wish mine was louder for times when I am walking away and not looking at the truck.

OEM Piezo buzzer made it's to OEM keyless from 2009-2015. OP would have to wire a piggyback keyless entry to adapt to horn to give an audible lock confirmation.

This enables or disables the chirp. Like a toggle switch:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/46824-quieting-lock-unlock-beep.html

Step one: Open the drivers door and insert the key into the ignition

Step two: Remove the key from the ignition and, within 5 seconds,
reinsert the key back into the ignition and switch to the on position. Do not start the engine.

Step three: After 10 seconds, the system enters the answer-back mode

Step four: Within 10 of the answer-back beep the switching mode is started, press the remote twice and the system will turn off or on based upon which the system is set.

This^^^^ I unplugged mine after growing annoyed with all the beep beeps when unlocking all four doors with the fob
