For me it ended up being some loose wire in the pass thru harness for my front cam mod. I just unplugged it and put the factory harness back like it was before the mod and it never had the issue again.

Thanks for the response. I have the same mod I'll have to check that if it keeps happening. New front camera module thing alot cheaper than a whole new HU

Yeah I had the front and anytime back up cam mod. It only happened occasionally then it got to the point where the radio wouldn't work for days. So I just unplugged it.

Did you get the mod from the dude that sells them on this forum? If so let me now if you figure out how to get a new harness lol. I'd like to have it working again with as much work as it took to run it all but I never got around to fixing or replacing It.

I wonder if this was my issue with the Beat Sonic interface. I have the Car Solutions interface, and when I hooked up the Beat Sonic carplay interface, I had no sound.

No, it was so weird it happened all day on and off for one day, unfortunately it happened to be a day I was coming home from a vacation and was sitting in the truck with no audio all day long. Got home, parked it, got in it the next day and it was working totally normally. Hasn't happened once since.

Did you try the phone controls through the steering wheel? Occasionally if I get a text msg it kills my audio and the only way to snap out of it is by trying the phone controls, somehow.

Fixed - I’m not sure what the solution was. I did too many things at once to be able to tell. Unplugged and replugged everything connected to the head unit including the front and rear camera, also unplugged the battery for like 30 min while I did all that. I probably should have started off with the battery before breaking clips… anyway I’m glad to have audio back lol.

I've been having the same issues you did. Since day 1 when I installed the front camera/anytime back up camera mod, my radio randomly loses the audio. You said in an earlier post that it was related to a loose wire in the harness. Did you figured out which wire? Did you replced the harness and got the issue resolved? I really want to keep my front camera working and would hate to unplug it. But having the audio randomly cutting off and not knowing when it will return it's pretty annoying. And just like you, it started doing it once every few months and now it's almost daily.

I got my kit from anytimebackupcamera.com. Is that wher you got yours?

Can anybody help…. I have a 2016 Tacoma I’ve just started experiencing this issue a few days ago.. sound went completely off while I was driving and everyday it comes back for 2 min. Then goes off again.. no mods have been done like people have been saying in the threads. I haven’t changed the head unit or messed with any wires…

has anyone been able to fix this issue ?

How's your battery? Get it tested.

Update: I bought a new Head Unit and it completely fixed the issue. Toyota wanted me to buy the new entune unit from them to install because they could not fix the problem. But instead I went searching for units and found this beauty. They have different models and costs a pretty penny but I bought that latest one. Install was fast and easy.

I’ve been having problems with my radio for more than a year and i am out of warranty. The dealer said I could try a new head unit which Is 6000. My front speakers won’t work and my remaining back speakers will frecuently cut off. After a while the sound on the back speakers will kick in again I’ve tried installing new speakers and that won’t work either. My front speakers that are not working will get pulled out and installed elsewhere and will work
