I took my Tacoma to see a drive in movie and my audio would automatically shut off every 20 minutes. The truck engine was off for the duration of the movie. I am sure it's a power saving setting or something of that nature. Does anyone know if this can be changed? I appreciate any help in advance.

I believe I read somewhere that you put it in N with parking brake and then turn the engine off, and it will stay on. not sure though.....I'm sure its somewhere in the tips and tricks thread

Any selection other than P will keep it on, but it will still time out after about 20 minutes. I haven't found a setting for it, and suspect there isn't one to prevent the battery from being inadvertently drained.

From the tips and tricks sticky:

    35. If the engine is running just press Push to Start button in any shift (R-N-D or S)except in P and radio won't go off. (Courtesy of abec)
    36. If you leave the transmission in neutral while parked in ACC mode and pull the hand brake, the radio seems to not have a turn off timer. A user reported over 2 hours of radio time while at a drive-in movie while using this method.
