Audio system 2014

Question has any one experienced the audio system just turning off then restarting a few seconds later?

 

I'd like to know as well. I swapped a 2014 stereo into my 2010 and it does this sometimes. No idea why.

 

I had that happen a few times within the first couple years I had my 2014. In the last two years or so...hasn't rebooted at all.


My USB port on the other hand...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

 

When I had the stock headunit, yes, it would randomly happen. It wasn't too frequent for me but maybe once every few weeks/months it would reboot while driving. There was never any patterns to it happening.

 

Mine does this usually for long trips, and sometimes it will just drop bluetooth audio and/or the usb in. A hard reset always fixes it so I just deal with it.

 

mine would go quiet all of a sudden then back to normal then stay quiet. so i said screw it and had an aftermarket put in.. i talked dealership they couldnt figure it out i wanted to see if i was in warranty still. they said it would be like 2k for a replacement ...

 

Yep, my 2010 stock stereo has been doing that lately, no idea why.

 

If it's any consolation, mine has been doing it for over five years...hasn't crapped out yet (knock on wood)...

 

Yes, my 2014 has done this about 6-8 times. Mostly the past three years. Keep wanting to get on Crutchfield and pull the trigger on a new system.

 

$2K for the OEM Entune unit? Heck, I'll give you $20 to steal mine...

 

its the Canadian NAV half ass Entune version as well... Went with an Alpine ILX-259 for half the cost. oh now i have car play now

 

My stock headunit in my '15 does the same. Every few weeks or so it'll randomly reboot.

 

Seen it happen once just last week. Never saw it before.
