fyi, you can use the stock tweeters as your mounting bracket for you new tweeters. just rip out the speaker guts and reuse the metal frame.

Go with a new HU and speakers. I installed a Kenwood HU and Fosgate speakers in the front. Night and day difference from stock. I think total was right at $400. Bought everything from Crutchfield and everything you need to install is thrown in for free.

Thanks for all the help everyone I definitely am going for quality over quantity I'm planning on gutting the interior and putting sound deadening everywhere. If I order from crutchfield will they give me adapters for everything for free or a discount?

call them or chat........I'm by no means an audio pro......

Crutchfield will walk you through everything you need......

be sure to order 'pre wired harness' $20-30...to fit your truck

if you need SW controls & back up camera connections...

    they are extra......

If you want to keep your stock stereo I would buy a cheap name brand 4 channel amp that has speaker level inputs so you can retain your stock radio. This way you wont have to use RCA's and you could just T tap the the factory speaker wires.

I’m pretty sure free. Myself and a few other people I’ve talked to have all gotten adapters free when ordering.
