Honestly, a lot of people say they hate MP3 but they really don't have a justification. I rip all DESERVING albums as WAV; no exceptions. However, I'd say that 75% of the albums I rip don't need or deserve anything over 320kbps MP3. Truth be told, 320 will blow your socks off. I'd be VERY impressed if you could tell the difference between 320 and WAV even on my tall Line Array speakers. The sad truth is that most recordings don't hit the limits of 320 MP3 so there's no reason to waste space.

That being said, I still rock a 3TB hard drive. :)

That high a bit rate probably can't tell.

But let's be honest...most people don't import at that rate for .mp3s haha

I'm at an AES conference! Pretty fun!

    Oh i have another song.

    Led Zeppelin

so in the break at 5:35, you can hear the vocals kinda on a delay. However, no Delay was used!

Instead the track was so freaking loud going onto the tape that the ironoxide hadn't totally like "dried" so what you are hearing is a second print as the tap comes back onto itself on the reel! Pretty cool i think..

^nice monte, didn't know that about that track!

you may really enjoy the movie "SoundCity". Directed by Dave Grohl :) He's the one that bought the original Neve console from sound city and has it in his studio now. It's a pretty bad ass story.

    Anybody know queen's 'Brighton rock'?
Monte I'd love to hear what you think of it.

Now I know this is redundant in this thread but its meant to be enjoyed on good quality stereo speakers!
