August 2017 Seattle-Area Meet

Last time I was there, I screwed up the nerf bars I had on, and watched 2 other trucks taken out on flatbeds

 

Depending on if I get my rig up and running I'd be in.

 

Maybe? I'm supposed to be on vacation, but might have to cut the trip short.

 

Bummer I'd like to do this but we have plans for that weekend. Can a group do it again in sept if drivers have a good time? Thx

I'm in, time works perfect for me! I moved from California to Redmond two weeks ago, never offroad driving before.

I'm driving a slightly modified 2016 4runner. Hopefully 4runner does not disqualify me on a tacoma world meet up

 

There have been jeeps along on some of the runs done. 4runner is still good. It's at least Toyota. Fair warning now, if you have step rails/nerf bars on your runner, take them off before doing this. When I was in my Tacoma, I had some nerf bars on and didn't think about it until later. I managed to bend both of them dropping down on stumps.

 

I know this is last minute, but would y'all be ok with moving this to Sunday?

Just curious: Is anyone thinking to turn this into camping? (If it's moved to Sunday, camping is definitely out.)

 

I was thinking about going on Saturday and camping. Never met anyone before.

 

I have been planning on not camping AT Tahuya because it's just a gravel lot, but after people start leaving head up the the mountains and find somewhere to chill for the night. I'm sure we could find somewhere suitable.

 

That was my thought as well (though haven't pulled the trigger on deciding to camp yet): Some public land nearby. I just ask because I'd need to know what to bring along with me. Either way, I plan to bring my portable water pump, if anyone wants to check it out.

 

Im super bummed because all my shit is showing up next week so I won't have all my fun toys.

 

I feel your pain. I have a whole bunch of electrical stuff (dual battery, truck bed power, etc) coming next week as well.

can't go camping as I don't have any camping gear and I need another day for some personal work, but I'm flexible on Sat or Sun

 

I may have to work in the morning but could come meet up with y'all in the afternoon if y'all plan to spend the whole day up there
