Im trying to find the correct size locker for my truck, but on the aussie locker website my truck isnt listed but im pretty sure ive seen other people use them on the same one. So does anyone know what size locker fits into the rear differential of a 2001 tacoma prerunner 4X2

I could use some help as well. Have a 98 prerunner and am also looking to install an aussie locker. Using the site's "vehicle selector" it suggests this locker: http://www.aussielocker.com/index.php/lockers/aussie-locker-xd-27527.html, but I thought prerunners use a 8" differential. Would that aussie fit the prerunner differential as well or is there a different one I need?

In advance, thanks so much for any help and sorry for my newbness.

When I ordered mine for my 98' I called Aussie and talked to a sales rep. He new exactly which model I needed. They are very helpful. You might find their number on their web site.

Thanks. I called and the sales rep looked it up and got the same result as I did on their website which was the 7.5", but from what I understand everyone agrees that the prerunner rear axle is 8", so I searched around their site and found the 8" which I just ordered. Pretty darn sure that's the right one.

To the OP, i think the 8" is the correct one and can confirm that once I get mine in and installed.

7.5" is for the 5 lug tacoma. This is the one I have installed in my truck.

Sorry I cant help with what you need but I can say the Aussie is a great product!

There used to be other posts on this thread does anyone know what happened to them? Someone posted on here early and said that they bought the 8" powertrax and it worked for them, so i assume that the 8" is the right size
