Hey all. Been in the market for a snorkel for a minute. Problem is I hate the fact that the shit abs plastic safari snorkels are so expensive for what you get, and also not a fan of the way they look. I’m partial to the Aussie style stainless ones you see on land cruisers and other rigs.

Anyone seen anything like this on a 1st gen? Any fabrication guys have any idea what getting one fabricated would cost? Maybe there’s a kit hidden in the depths of the internet. I really love the look of them.

Tried searching around a bit but haven’t found too much info.

    Cheers.

I'm willing to bet those stainless ones are a good penny more expensive than the ARB ones.

I've never seen them in the US, so shipping from AUS is probably not cheap, either, lol.

I bet you could get an exhaust shop to built something VERY similar, then use some universal clamps/ducting for the plumbing from the engine bay out to the fender.

The other option would be going for the ARB knock off from Ebay. There's a whole thread on here dedicated to them. A lot of people are pretty happy with them, and the price can't be beat, either.

I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
All the options I’ve seen that I liked were all custom. I have the arb snorkel and I’m not a huge fan. Been wanting a stainless one as well but just waiting on a fender to pop up so I can have a buddy draw it up. That’d be the best way to go. Spensive, but worth it.
