Laughing my ass off at all these folks bitching that they can't get gas. I made the mistake of going to my office today and heard some very liberal co-workers complaining that they saw people fill up cans yesterday and top off their vehicles. What kind of moron drives around on fumes?

I guess it's the same people who want socialism... Wahh it's not fair that you have that and I don't....

Also the map of available gas for those wondering.

Yes it would be a trade in. I am not 100% sure where my tap is at the moment, so does anyone else have a tap we could use? What flavor liquid are we talking about? I 2nd the Shiner keg :D Also how many people plan on drinking out there? Do we actually need a keg? I don't think I will drink more than a 6-pack out there having to drive all the way down south afterwards. I would hate for any of it to go to waste. I am thinking byob might be the better option depending on how many people are going and planning on drinking

Last night after my bowling league I only found 2 or 3 stations with gas and the line for HEB on Slaughter was reeedooonnkk, so having less than a quarter tank I was really hoping to fill up because I plan on going to La Grange tomorrow to help clean up and donate some stuff. Luckily found a place with a very short wait of only a couple minutes out on 1626 in Manchaca/San Leanna. But every station that I saw in my neighborhood off Brodie lane was out after I got off work. I think too many people are thinking they won't be able to leave town or something if they are left with no gas for a few days.

I think we be OK without a keg. Everyone BYOB and not get out of hand. But, if keg is inevitable, I vote Shiner.

Let's plan something. I feel like you've been on some adventures this year, and that you know what limitations your truck has, what other people might need for certain areas/trips.
What do you think would be a cool place?

Yes! I originally thought tomorrow would work but it may have to be Sunday. Once the GF wakes up, I'll find out for sure and reach out.

Hell yes! Here are some places I've wanted to take a trip to with a group and in no particular order:

    1. New Mexico: NMBDR (Happening the week of Thanksgiving with @Tynan and @TX_Lucian), Enchanted Rockies Trail, Las Cruces
    2. Ouchita NF trip
    3. Big Bend NP and or SR.

Also thought about a weekend trip to Barnwell Mountain in gilmer for a camping/wheeling trip. Hell, Hidden Falls would work for this too.

Hell yeah. I knew you would come up with some fun ideas.

I feel like we should do the Barnwell Mountain in gilmer for a camping/wheeling trip first so we can see how our current set ups are, and know how we should prepare for a bigger trip.
I'm down for thanksgiving. I'm down for anything really. All I ask is to be tagged so I don't miss out. This is a hugely active sub and I get back-logged. I also dislike interrupting other topics to bring up a trip, especially after its been discussed.

I mayyyy not be able to make it. I got word this morning that I may be deploying to Houston to relieve some personnel we have doing search and rescue and running 911 calls. I should know by the end of the day tomorrow. I think we'd be leaving this Sunday and coming back next Sunday. I'll update when I get a definite answer.
