Working on a new bed rack.

I'll post some later as it starts to come together.

Yesterday was a lot of measuring, head scratching and drawing on the driveway.
But after that I now have the 2 main hoops bent and I rembered to make a pattern so I can build another one when I need to.

Voluntarily going to Commiefornia? I reluctantly make that trip once or twice a month for work..

Will be in SFO later this week.. the only time I don't mind is when it's July or August and I get out of the heat.

Its called The Affordable Bender, and compared to the other recommended benders it is more affordable but not by much. It is also limited to what you can do with it. I choose it mainly because it is smaller and easier to store when not in use and does not require that it is bolted to the floor.

Unless you are going to make a lot of bends don't buy one. Just bring your tubbing and a couple of beers to Hutto and we can knock it out.

I did get 3 stickers with the bender so it was worth it. Not sure if they will make it on the truck but definitely on the toolbox.

Polaris, (and I'm sure the other manufacturers), have been developing smaller and less expensive bikes for at least 5 years now; all of us old farts driving the big and expensive are dying off. The overall motorcycle market is done, so it may be a good time to jump on one!

    what'd i miss?

just kidding. don't answer that. last week, wife's Avalon had a headlight go out. bummer deal, easy fix.

or so i thought. started digging into it and jesus christ. i didn't have time to get it knocked out, so i end up taking it to Toyota, because apparently this model Avalon is fucking retarded.

$304 later, and we have her car back with 1 new bulb. yes, $304. Bulb was $203, labor was $72. Now that I have the part number, I'll be doing the passenger side myself, as I don't think half the front end needs to be disassembled like it did for the driver side.

    Bulb part number: 90981-20012

Planning on doing some wheeling in Sequoia national forest and seeing Yosemite is a dream of mine. We lived about an hour outside San Francisco for about a year a long time ago so I'd like to putt around a bit there as well.
